Pruning – fruit trees, ornamental trees and shrubs
We take on all types of pruning on the northern shore of Lake Balaton: from fruit trees to ornamental trees, shrubs, roses, grapevines and hedges. We work in and around Keszthely, Hévíz and Sümeg, from late-winter formative pruning to summer pruning.
Pruning is one of the most important factors in plant health and productivity. We carry out formative, fruiting and rejuvenation pruning of fruit trees (apple, pear, plum, cherry, sour cherry, peach, walnut), grapevine pruning, shaping of ornamental trees and shrubs, pruning of roses, evergreens and hedges, as well as crown thinning and branch trimming on large trees. For ornamental trees and shrubs, late-winter formative pruning (February–March), spring and summer pruning and an autumn tidy-up are all important. In Balaton holiday-home gardens we often come across neglected trees – for these we plan gradual rejuvenation pruning that restores fruit yields over 2–3 years.
